Basic First Aid

Providing basic first aid training so initial support is available if injury or emergency arises.

The ability to assess and manage accident and medical situations is vital in a rural environment where barriers to emergency services can include both environmental and climatic limitations. Providing basic first aid training for first responders to an emergency situation can help minimise injury and save lives. 

First aid training will include: 

• Area hazard assessment and procedure for vehicles, environment and utilities
• Assessment of a sick or injured person using AVPU training
• Adult and child CPR
