Our training facility is in Winchmore, Mid Canterbury on the site of the former Winchmore Research Station.
Anyone can apply, and we always anticipate students who are focused on long term careers driven by progression toward new roles and responsibilities. We accept applications from people inside and outside the agriculture sector including school leavers, and some who are wanting a new career, and we promote the idea that it’s never too late to begin your studies.
The Diploma in Agriculture is approximately 2 years, and the Diploma in Agriculture Business Management is approximately 18 months.
Student placements will be across Canterbury with our network of accredited farmers.
Agri Training will work with your employer to ensure you get the support and mentoring required to complete your qualification before beginning a successful career in the industry.
Students will graduate with a globally recognised City & Guilds qualification. Either a Level 3 Diploma in work-based Agriculture (Includes a Level 1 and 2 Diploma) or a Level 4 Diploma in work-based Agricultural Business Management. (Please note – a Level 3 City & Guilds Qualification is equivalent to a Level 5 NZQA and a Level 4 City & Guilds qualification is equivalent to a Level 6 NZQA
