For Adult Trainees

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Experience counts

Do you have agricultural experience, skills and knowledge, or some other relevant formal qualification?

Agri Training knows experience counts when it comes to gaining a qualification.

We recognise relevant and appropriate skills and knowledge obtained through training, work experience and life experience. It could be learning achieved outside the formal education and training system and includes paid and volunteer work, and skills attained through leisure pursuits.

We invite you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to us through an evidence-based formal assessment process. Then we can tailor your diploma, so you can reach your potential in the primary industry and fast track your career.

A successful applicant for RPL is someone who has a good amount of experience in the area in which they are seeking a qualification and can provide authentic evidence and/or demonstrate knowledge and skills. This area of experience is current and relevant to the course or qualification.

Your skills will be assessed against industry standards. This is done by our RPL assessor. The assessor will consider your skills and knowledge and match them with the appropriate credits towards your chosen diploma.

Fees

We always deliver the training which is relevant to YOU! So we look forward to discussing your individual fees for the required assessments of your RPL.

Why you should apply for RPL?
If you apply for RPL and your application is successful, you could:

  • Reduce or eliminate the need for training in skills and knowledge you already have
  • Save time by not needing to complete unnecessary work
  • Complete your qualification in a shorter time
  • Have your experience recognised by attaining a nationally recognised qualification
  • Advance to a higher level qualification in a shorter time.
